Ibiza Wedding Packages

The word means three different things on this island. Here is how to tell which one you are being quoted.

An Ibiza wedding package is one of three things: a venue package sold per guest, a planner package sold as a fee or a percentage, or a supplier package sold as hours and deliverables. They are not comparable to each other, and most of the confusion couples run into comes from assuming they are.

I film weddings across Ibiza every weekend in season, which means I see the contracts couples signed and I hear afterwards which parts they wish they had questioned. This is that list.

The three kinds of Ibiza wedding package

What each one covers, and what it quietly leaves out.

PackageSold asCoversNot included
Venue packagePer guestSpace, catering, drinks, staff, basic furniture and often the ceremony area.Flowers, music, licences, photography, content, transport, extension hours.
Planner packagePercentage or flat feeVendor sourcing, contracts, design, timeline, coordination on the day.The vendors themselves. Every supplier is invoiced separately on top.
Supplier packageHours and deliverablesA set number of hours of coverage and a defined list of what you receive.Anything outside the stated hours, extra edits, and second shooters.

Five questions to ask before you sign

Each of these has cost a couple I have filmed real money.

01

Which of the three packages is this?

If a quote says package and does not say whether it is per guest, a coordination fee or a block of hours, you cannot compare it to anything. Ask first, before price.

02

What is the per guest number at my real guest count?

Venue packages are almost always quoted at a minimum spend. Ask what the total becomes at your actual number, not at the minimum, because the two figures can be very far apart.

03

What happens if we run over time?

Extension hours are where Ibiza budgets break. Get the hourly extension rate for the venue, the bar, the staff and every supplier, in writing, before you sign.

04

Are licences and permits included?

Ceremony licences, noise permits and any municipal fees are usually outside the package. On a private property they can be a significant line of their own.

05

What is the delivery deadline, in writing?

For anything creative, a package without a stated deadline is not a package, it is a hope. Eight to twelve weeks is still normal in this industry for a wedding film. Ask for the date on the contract.

What a wedding content package should state

Content creation is the newest line on an Ibiza wedding budget, which means it is also the least standardised. These are the six things that should appear in writing on any content package you are offered, mine included.

  • ·Hours of coverage, and when the clock starts
  • ·Number of edited reels, and their length
  • ·Delivery deadline written into the contract
  • ·Whether raw footage is included or extra
  • ·Vertical social formats delivered separately from any horizontal film
  • ·Who holds usage rights, and for how long

If you are still deciding what kind of coverage you need, the difference between the three roles is worth reading first: content creator versus photographer and content versus videographer.

Where the rest of the budget goes

Packages only cover part of an Ibiza wedding. Venue and catering usually take the largest single share, and the lines couples forget are transport, accommodation blocks, licences and extension hours. The full cost breakdown goes through them one by one, and the villa guide covers what changes when the wedding is on private property.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is included in an Ibiza wedding package?

The phrase covers three different things in Ibiza. A venue package bundles the space, catering, staff and basic furniture per guest. A planner package bundles coordination and vendor management. A supplier package, such as photography or content creation, bundles hours of coverage and deliverables. Always ask which of the three you are being quoted, because the word means something different to each vendor.

How much does a wedding in Ibiza cost in total?

Ibiza is a premium destination market and total spend is driven by guest count more than by anything else. Venue and catering usually take the largest single share of the budget, followed by planning, then the creative team. Couples underestimate transport, accommodation blocks and the licence and permit costs, which are almost never in a headline package price.

Are all inclusive wedding packages available in Ibiza?

Some venues offer a per guest package covering space, food, drink and basic staffing, which is the closest thing to all inclusive on the island. Genuinely all inclusive, meaning flowers, music, photography and content are also bundled, is rare in Ibiza because most venues work with an open or preferred supplier list rather than employing creatives directly.

What should a wedding content package include?

At minimum: the number of hours covered, how many edited reels you receive, the delivery deadline in writing, whether raw footage is included, and whether vertical formats for social media are delivered separately from any horizontal film. A package that does not state a delivery deadline is the single biggest red flag in this category.

Should I book a package or pay for items individually?

Packages are cheaper when the bundle matches what you actually want. They cost more when you pay for a third reel you will never post, or for eight hours of coverage on a five hour wedding. Ask for the package to be broken down into its parts, then rebuild only the parts you need and compare the two numbers.

When are Ibiza wedding packages usually paid?

The standard structure in Ibiza is a deposit to hold the date, a second payment in the months before the wedding, and a final balance close to the day. Deposits secure the date and are normally non refundable, which is why the date, not the package contents, is what you are really buying when you sign early.
